Welcome to the Lyon Park Primary Music Page
We enjoy making music in lots of different ways at Lyon Park Primary and based in our refurbished music centre, there are even more opportunities for children to learn and develop a a passion for it.
Pupils from Reception to Year 6 have weekly class music sessions which include the enjoyment of listening and discussing music, along with composing and performing regular singing.
Children learn to play a range of instruments whilst attending Lyon Park including:bamboo tamboo, chime bars, glockenspiels, harmonicas, flute, ocarinas, recorders and xylophones.
Our links with Brent Music Service also allow children to have small group lessons on the guitar, keyboard, flute and steel pan.
Any Junior pupils interested in learning and instrument should talk to our music teacher, Mr Wood, for further details.
Those children who wish to further their music skills can join one of our extra-curricular music clubs, which include:
Y5/6 School Choir Tuesday's 3:20-4:00pm ( 4:15pm after February half-term)
Y5/6 Percussion Band Wednedsay's 3:20-4:00pm ( 4:15pm after February half-term)
Y3 Music Club Thursday's 3:20 - 4:00pm
